White Pooja Rumal / Mukkosh

Mukhavastrik, also referred to as Mukkosh, is an essential item in Jainism, a faith that holds non-violence (Ahimsa) as its highest principle. Jain teachings emphasize the protection and respect for all life forms, including those too small to be seen. Mukhavastrik serves as a protective face covering, carefully designed to prevent the unintentional inhalation of insects and microorganisms, thereby safeguarding even the smallest creatures.

Crafted with an intricate eight-layer fold, Mukhavastrik offers superior protection against micro-organisms, reflecting the Jain commitment to non-violence. By wearing Mukhavastrik, followers of Jainism demonstrate their dedication to Ahimsa, ensuring that every breath is taken with mindfulness and respect for all living beings.
